    either some kind of nuthatch or maybe a woodpecker??

    In the East Bay Area East of SF California. This guy comes to my upstairs window feeder and grabs a Sunflower seed. Puts it petween his two feet, then pecks the heck out of it till it opens. The House Finches will run him off. I guess they figure it's their feeder! LOL He is about the same...
