    We recently put a hummingbird feeder 20 ft from "normal" bird feeder

    Newbie question: is it normal for hummingbirds to fly around the "normal" bird feeder too in addition to their hummingbird feeder? They don't seem to be eating from the "normal" feeder, just "monitoring" it... Apologies if this is the dumbest question ever.

    Red-cockaded woodpecker

    Was delighted to see a red-cockaded woodpecker out my window this morning. If my internet searching is correct, they are endangered. Also I think Ft. Worth is a just a smidgen west for this bird. It sounds like east Texas is normally as far west as they go.
