    Kemerton Lake

    Terrific walk around Kemerton Lake and environs, a very healthy 49 species this morning from the hide that was open, the nearby fields and woodlands. Highlights included a Hobby, Little Grebe and young, Pochard and young, GC Grebes and plenty of young, Lapwing (x3), several Oystercatcher.

    Fernhill Heath Ring Necked Parakeets

    I was wondering if anybody else had spotted a pair on Morton Road in early Oct? First Siskin in the garden on 30th and first female tawny owl has appeared in the garden twice over past 6 weeks. First redwings by canal yesterday and quite a few reed bunting too. Regards Dave

    Birds in Fernhill Heath

    Being new to this part of Worcester (since May) I have been delighted with the bird species in both my garden and within a 5 mile walk. Notables in the garden since the New Year have been a Brambling. Lesser Redpoll and Siskin and a Stonechat in the fields nearby. Anybody else local fancy...
