    Juvenile Starling ringing

    My annual juvenile starling ringing effort for June/July to date has resulted in over 200 birds ringed and still catching a few each day, especially early mornings. As in previous years - last 3 years - all birds caught in one sinle funnel baited walk-in trap.

    I purchased today three small framed prints at a car boot sale. The artist name is James Stevens. They are of Sparrowhawk, Peregrine, and Marsh Harrier. I think they may be called miniature line drawings, I dont know but they are quite delightful. Any information will be appreciated. Regards

    Interesting retrap

    On the 15 Aug 05' a ringing friend of mine retrapped a Blue tit. The bird was originally caught and ringed by myself on the 15 October 1997 within 1,000 mtrs of the retrap site. Almost 8 years old - it was a juvenile when I caught it - and still going strong!!!!
