Hi. I assume it's a pipit, but which one? Looks like no streaking on the flanks. The area is meadows, partly wasteland. May 20 Podhale, Poland

    Blyth's reed warbler (pictures, song)?

Place Poland , Podhale, today (ushes by the pond near the river), dark legs, song with phrases repeated quite slowly, full of imitations. Blyth's reed warbler or just sleepy Marsh warbler :) ?

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Hi, I strongly suspect this gull of being a Lbb gull. Why - you can see that it is in the process of moulting and the coat is becoming dark, the flanks are heavily black-spotted. Anyway, everything is visible this time :) Second cycle? Poland, Podhale , today.

    Red-footed Falcon , aging

I am having trouble determining the age and sex of these Rf falcons. I'm surprised by the rusty spots on the chest , neck of the first one (female?). The second one is - second year female (brownish top of mantle)? Poland Podhale yestarday

A bit of a strange pipit

Here I have a strange pipit from a few days ago. It seems to be staying where I also saw Red-throated Pipits, but somehow it doesn't look typical - a strange streaking of the breast, a rather long bill, a large bright area around the eye, - but everything can be seen in the photos.

    Yellow legged Gull ?

First - Poland , Podhale , 3 may 2 gulls - and in my opinion 2 Yellow-legged (or it's time to give up on recognizing gulls :) ) . Among other things, I remembered from Lou that black band tapering towards corners in michahellis. Lack of mirrors , lack of evident window, uniform back - 3 year?

Skylark or not Skylark ?- thats the question

Skylark or not Skylark ?- thats the question :) Why am I asking? - it seems the bird has contrasting black median coverts, quite bright top (mantle, wing), short bill , and delicate lines on the side of the breast. Maybe some southern lark ? I wish :) Poland, Podhale, today

    Herring Gull?

Hi - The Gull with such a clear window on primaries can only be a Herring gull ? (in the 3rd calendar year?)

Gull with an enlarged white patch on the wing

Hi At the end of March I noticed a seagull with an enlarged primaries patch - it covers not 2 but 3 primaries (illusion?). Additionally, the wing coverts and primaries are somewhat pale. But is everything normal here for Caspian?

    Lesser black-backed gull?

Recently I observed an interesting seagull - it seemed darker to me than the Caspian herring gulls YL. Also, when observing the bird, I had the impression that it was noticeably darker - is it a Lesser black-backed gull? miejsce - Polska , Podhale, kilka dni temu. Additionally, it seems that the...

    Rock pipit

I will write briefly - due to the distinct white eye ring and the lack of a distinct eyebrow, I suspect rock pipits. Two different birds in the photos. Place - Poland, Podhale, date: beginning of September. What's your opinion?

One more gull: Yellow - legged this time?

another gull - mixed one ?

So what about this one- Poland, Podhale, august. I can see features of Yellow legged/ Herring/ Caspian , juv. - dark belly (Herring), wing formula (YL/ Caspian), difuse, light wing bars (Caspian), dark primaries and lack of window (YL), striped tail (Herring). Ufffff ...

    Herring gull??

The plumage on upperwing and mantle suggests a herring gull 2nd summer to me - is this the correct identification? (August, Poland Podhale).

an unknown voice - but distinctive

28 may this year (Podhale Poland) I recorded a voice that was unusual for me. It seems to be a bird, I'm not sure. One good thing can be said about it - very characteristic. The environment is a small forest next to a gravel pit, with many meadows around. What do you think?

    gull with a black eye

Location - Podhale, October 8. This time it doesn't seem to be a Caspian gull. Black eye, missing bright stripe on the wing, dark underside. But the yellow-legged gull is also out of the question - you can see the window on the wing. So ...?

request for help in identifying a bird (probably an owl) by its voice

Poland Podhale 28 april this year. Hello, I only have a voice, is it an owl, what kind? It's about the voice at the end of the recording (although the screeching in the middle may also come from the same bird), I assume it's an owl, but I don't know. The voice seems to be similar to that of a...

    not Skylark, but ... what

While thinking about this bird (April 23 this year, Podhale Poland), I came to the conclusion that this shape (stout, short, small beak) excludes a skylark, but it is definitely some kind of skylark. What ? (and am I even thinking correctly ?). Sorry for the photos quality.

    thrush , Poland,

I'm wondering about one thrush seen a few days ago (Poland, Podhale) - the distinct white eyebrow would indicate a Redwing, but the bird has quite large beak, and definitely not rusty/red on the side - but yellowish (visible in all shots). Can you say something with such poor photos?

    Curious falcon

What do you think about this falcon? strongly barred breast, dark underwing coverts, strongly, black striped flight feathers form a net, striped tail, dark wing tips. Eleonora's falcon came to mind, but this species is almost impossible in southern Poland. The falcon was small, at first I didn't...
