    Evening fellow birder of Carmarthenshire has anybody be out lately I had few outings but nothing to write home about. Going out tomorrow after work in search of Tree Sparrow at Dryslwyn.

    Diamondback fogging up again

    Hi was wondering if anybody else as had any problems with the 8x42 Diamondback. I have just sent my second pair back drew to one lens fogging up again.

    New year and 2 new life ticks

    Spent 4 hours at WWT Llanelli and got 2 new life ticks in the form off Brambling and Red Breasted Merganser in fact there was 4 of them but they where out on the estuary. Weather turned bad after the first 20min of being there but still ended up with 53 ticks.

    First Sea Watching

    Morning all fingers crossed I can report some new life ticks when I get back. Going out this morning down to the Gower to do my first Sea watch.

    Where to go ?

    As the CBC outdoor meet is cancelled this coming Saturday 5th due to the weather.Is there anywhere in Carmarthenshire that is good for a spot of sea watching, I never done it before.

    CBC next out day meet 05/12/15

    CBC next outdoor door meet 05/12/15 Due to no suitable tides in January or February 2016 we will visit Whiteford Burrows on 5 December 2015. Meet at 9.30am in Cwm Ivy car park. High tide is at 13.15hrs approx. Please see details above if in any doubt about the weather.

    I got the GH4 for Digiscoping but if the weather not just right for Digiscoping I go back on my FZ200. This is where I like some help what lens should I be looking at for the GH4 for birds as I like to use this in stand of the FZ200.

    Digiscoping

    Evening all I started digiscoping late August after getting my kit from Bird Fair in Rutland. Kowa 883 scope, 25-60 zoom eyepiece, Panasonic GH4,20mm f1.7 lens, Paul Sayegh Digidapter. Are there any other digiscoper out there in Carmarthenshire ?

    My patch at work

    Got some waste land next to where I work in Crosshands for the last 3 years I had 4 broods of Lapwings her. Out of 16 chicks I seen 7 fledge so fingers crossed for next year. This last month I had 1 Lapwing roosting on the waste land and this morning he was joined by 4 Snipe.
