Phetchaburi Thailand Jan 28 - Possible Cinereous Vulture?

Hi All, After looking for a recently reported Tufted Duck, my friend and I saw a large distant raptor. At the time he commented that it seemed very broad winged and I remember noting that we didn't see any white crescents in the wing. We sort of assumed it must be a Greater Spotted Eagle but...

    Buteo - Thailand, January

Seen on January 3, 2024 at Mae Fa Luang Arboretum, Chiang Rai, Thailand. Possibly 2 individuals. I realize these images may not be enough to identify these birds and that the taxonomy is not clear. I do have more photos though nothing majorly different. 196-201 are 1 bird I believe 306/307 -...

    Stint - November 26 - Thailand

Hi All, I saw these stints at The Gluea Cafe (Chachoengsao) Thailand yesterday. I wonder if they are maybe Little rather than Red-necked due to length of bill/legs. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Adjutant, Eastern Bangkok, Thailand, Oct. 13

Hi all. I had this Adjutant fly over (very high) at Lam Toi Ting on the outskirts of Bangkok this morning. I'm unfamiliar with both greater and lesser. Greater would be substantially more rare, but both would be first record for Bangkok (according to eBird at least)... Suggestions have already...

    Long-legged Buzzard? - Israel

This bird was seen this week in Israel. I think it matches nicely with Long-legged Buzzard (dark trailing edge to the wing, dark carpal patches, darker "trousers", pale hand), but I'm wondering if it's possible to exclude Common Buzzard from these photos. Apologies for the poor quality. Thank you!

    Heron/Egret in Israel

Posting on behalf of my brother. He saw this heron-type bird this week near Afula. Clearly there is something odd going on with its plumage. Based on it's relative size to the rock pigeons I think it may be a wonky Cattle Egret, but otherwise perhaps it's a young bird of some other species...

Netherlands - July 12 - Mandarin or Wood Duck

Hi everyone, I photographed this female duck on July 12, 2019 in the province of Gelderland. Based on some online searching, Mandarin Duck is a "countable" bird in the Netherlands, and seems more likely than a Wood Duck. However, I'm not convinced one way or the other. Can you help? What are...

Hi guys, Date: 2014-12-28 Yes, the pictures are horrid, but maybe are enough to determine between Black and Brown? I lean towards Brown. Not sure if second 2 images one of the birds in the first 2. Looks like WWTE in the first images too if that helps (size-wise). TIA :t:

    Netherlands Kite? June 26

I'm fairly certain this is a Red Kite. Can someone confirm? Black Kite shouldn't have as much light color on the hand, correct? Or maybe it Honey Buzzard because the tail looks rounded as opposed to forked... Seen June 26 in Ermelo (Gelderland)

Scrub Jay - Canada BC - Feb. 16

Hi all, The following Jay visited my place in Chilliwack this past Saturday. Scrub-Jays are rare in the area, and the expected ones would be California (seen somewhat regularly).
