    Common / Mew Gull

    Seen today, Goleta California. Similar size to Ring-billed. All black tail in flight and the thin pale fringe around the median upperwing coverts. There were at least three that stood out from the first cycle Ring-Billed... Have little experience with Mew, would appreciate insights.
