    Leighton Moss 1000 to 1615. Saw about 10 redpolls (lesser?), Bull finch, Gadwall, Pintail, Mallard, Wigeon, Teal, shoveler, Snipe, Marsh Harrier (male and female), Marsh tits, chaffinch, blue, great, coal and long-tailed tits. Nuthatches and tree-creepers, Buzzards. Warton Crag 1615 to 1700...

    Mere Sands Wood, Rufford 1600 hours to about 1700hours. Saw Water rail, goldcrest, Great spotted woodpecker, longtailed, coal, blue and great tits, tree sparrow, bullfinch, reed bunting, jays, cormorants, crows, jackdaws, great crested grebes, shovelers, teal, shelduck, mallard, coot, moorhen.

    Hen Harrier and Merlin

    Park Gate Marsh today, near golf course, between 0900 and 1000 hours. Male Hen harrier being mobbed by female Merlin. Also great spotted woodpecker at car park on Northen Parade.
