    Need tiny hard-shelled bug id

    My aunt has been finding a few of these tiny-(much smaller than a ladybug) beetle shell type bug. This one might be a little bit crushed. Can you tell me what type of bug it is so we can see if it is a problem for her? thanks

    Connecticut USA 20009 Western Versus Eastern Cattle Egret?

    This egret was from 2010. At the time I found out it was a Cattle egret but now I have learned that there is a western and an eastern version of a Cattle Egret. Is this a western or an eastern Cattle Egret and how do you determine the difference? -thanks

    Connecticut USA Bad Shorebird Photo identification needed

    I was out with camera and binoculars. My vision is poor and these birds were out of range but it was foggy and the photos are really poor. I was able to make out some Ruddy Turnstone but wanted to know what else might be in these photos? thanks

    Why does this Mallard have a white breast? CT USA

    I thought there was something odd looking about this mallard and then realized that it had a white breast. Is this some sort of a hybrid? a domestic duck or maybe just some kind of color variation?-thanks

    My husband found 2 waterthrush that were walking along the edges of a puddle. One was yellowish and teetering so he figured it for a northern. The one in the photo has more white under throat and looks more like a Louisiana but it wasn't near a running stream acting like one. Which waterthrush...
