    sooty shearwater feeding behaviour

    in collins it says that sooty shearwaters feeds on the surface or dives for it , does this mean dives from the surface or from the air ? The reason i ask is that i'm fairly certain it was 2 sooty shearwaters i seen yesterday but i'm sure one of them dived , and its causing me to have a few...

    juvenile black or white-winged tern ?

    Today on carmarthen bay,south wales i had a bird in the scope sat on a distant rock. It was face on so all i have is that it was white breasted i couldn't see any sign of breast patches but as i said it was face on(would i notice breast patches from face on?) it was noticably stood on the rock...

    Hi from north-west England

    Hello i'm Terry 38 from Widnes in cheshire and i've been Birdwatching off and on for over 20 years , however after a good few years away from it i have only recently re-discovered my love of watching birds and also find these forums a well of useful tips and advice.
