Could anyone help me with the rapid, repetitive chiming notes right at the start of this audio clip? It runs from 0 to 4 seconds, then again from 6-11 seconds (can ignore the rest of the clip). There are also Koel and Crow calls in there.

I was considering Arctic Warbler, though the pace seems too slow?
Rhythm is faster than any Common Tailorbird songs I’ve heard.

This was recorded in Benjakitti park this week. Also attached spectrogram with the song circled.

Thanks!

I think Plain Prinia is a possibility. Compare with ML182243391 - Plain Prinia - Macaulay Library and ML613111704 - Plain Prinia - Macaulay Library. Not perfect matches for speed and pitch but fairly close. Someone with experience in Bangkok might be able to say if there's anything similar. (I agree it seems too rapid for Common Tailorbird in my experience plus doesn't have the same quality.)

Thanks a lot @redpandacat @Brad Hacker @Butty

There were indeed a lot of Plain Prinia about, though I didn’t have a song paired with them in my feeble song memory.

And yeah, Large-Billed Crow are basically the only corvid that occurs here in the city.

Thanks again.
