• Maplewood Flats, North Vancouver, British Columbia. May 2024.
• Size of a warbler/chickadee. 3.5 - 4.5 inch in length

• The bird is laid back, not agile. Doesn't get much scared of humans getting closer but would fly/walk away when getting as close as inches.
• Feeds on unbloomed dandelion buds
• yellowish dark brown wings, light brown coverts.
• streaks around coverts, heads, throat, and belly.
• sharp dark beak
• sleepy looking eyes
