    North Wales Birding

I think I might have spoken to you on the cycle track, I was looking over the wet grassland for the Tern and we spoke about the Barnacles. Re: your post from 11th about Coed Cilgroeslwyd. It's become a kind of "patch" of mine recently, along with Eyarth rocks. I'll definitely be keeping an...

    Buzzard (?), Cornwall, UK. 18th May 2014

Hi all, Whilst paying a visit to Lands End on Sunday 18th May I noticed a very low flying Raptor being mobbed by a Herring gull flying West to East along the cliff line. Initially I didn't pay much attention thinking it to be just a Buzzard, but as it got closer and after first seeing it...

    Corncrakes - Mull

I'm going to Mull for a day trip (possibly Monday 11th) from Oban. I doubt I will be able to get over to Iona, and have seen vague references to Corncrake being seen on Mull itself. Is this accurate or are they just reports from Iona? Basically what's the chance of seeing a Corncrake on...

My first SEO experience and boy was it a good one!

I have seen 3 at Parkgate at High Tide, distant, but excellent views. Not sure what it's like for the Raptor Watch, but I will be going to 1 this year.

    Why can't I take a sharp photo?

Ilkka, thanks for the info. I have always had a 'fuzzy' Vignetting, but I digi-scope without the aid of a 'sleeve' or simliar to stop light from 'escaping'. I will see if I can conjure something up and give this a try. Wally

    Why can't I take a sharp photo?

I understand that you may not want to place the camera really close to the eye-peice (stratching etc), but the closer you get the better. The more light you let in between the camera and the eye-peice the 'foggier' the pictures are. I am sure somebody with a bit more technical knowledge may be...

    Birds at RSPB South Stack

Heres a picture taken of 1 of the 8 Puffins at South Stack on 7th June last year (only a litle later than when you visit) http://www.wallbank.me.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/puffin.jpg If you have a bit more time, Cemlyn Lagoon is also worth a visit, this is a beautiful place, the Terns...
