    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

Kite's weight and size seems perfect. But the FOV is a far cry from MHG and may makes it less enjoyment.

    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

Yes you are right. It is quite tricky to bird here as the small birds are high up in the trees and due to the dense forestation, the light isn't great. Maybe a compact scope is what I should be looking for. Not those 65mm and above but 56mm range such as Swaro ATC or Vortex 13-39x56 Razor HD. I...

    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

You've mentioned Canon 42L optics are excellent but you still went back to the alphas. Is the Canon not rich and sharp enough? I'm using Nikon HG 8x42. As long as the Canon can match the same optic quality, I'm totally good with that.

Video and review of SWAROVSKI ATC 17-40x56

Thank you for the review. Any idea how is it compared to Kowa 553/554?

    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

My current 8x42 is ok for general viewing and birding. Just that I see jittery movements which I'm quite annoyed of and a little more zoom of 10x or 12x will be preferred. I've researched into Kowa 553 for the small size and the angled scope for easier viewing on the trees. It is 808g + my...

    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

Thank you for your reply. It great to know that the Canon is on par with Nikon in image quality. I usually use a utility belt with Thinktank camera lens pouch when I hike and I put the MHG in one of the pouch. I like the clean look of the bin without strap and I also dislike the feeling of strap...

    10x42L vs Nikon MHG

Hi everyone. I'm currently using Nikon MHG 8x42 for general hiking and birding. Love the optics, size and FOV. However I feel that the zoom is not enough for a close up inspection of birds on the trees unless they are relatively near me. I also have difficulty holding the bino still for more...

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

I'm using MHG 8x42 currently and is thinking about getting Swav NL Pure 8x32. Anyone has experience moving from MHG to NL and care to share your thoughts?
