    Zeiss Conquest...eye cups still an issue?

    It shouldn't be a big problem. Most folk don't keep messing with eye positions once set, and if there is a problem, you get no quibble replacements from Zeiss. No real drama is it.

    There is an FL8x32 in the classifieds. Worth a punt, maybe a good cheeky offer ?? If it works, they are an awesome bino, if not, move it on, no real loss. I would rather have an FL than a Conquest or Kowa. And it will hold value. Superb binocular (y)

    My current set up... Zeiss HT 8x42 Leica Ultravid 8x20 At the moment all basis covered... HT... mega performance, low light, general use, stargazing. Ultra... pocket friendly, carry anywhere, always available, but compromised. Would maybe consider swapping out to a Curio, but those Ultras are...

    Get a Lowepro Tahoe cs20 case, its better than anything Swaro, Leica or Zeiss make. Perfect fit for small pocket binos, and superb protection. And you keep your original case un-used if you decide to sell them. It's always worth playing around with binos to get the right feel. I couldn't settle...

    A good middle ground is the Leica Ultravid 8x20. Better than the Trinovid, similar weight..... But... It's not as comfortable to use as the Curio, or CL 8x25, but optically it is close to them.     SFL vs. Aurora...

    I agree with Paul.... I tried the Auroras, and thought them very good, but somewhere near the Conquest and Genesis as a general viewing experience. They all had their pros and cons, but I would put them in that sort of area. As Paul says.... each to their own.

    Just throw it into that field..... The Swaro Curio is better optically better than that Zeiss anyway.... why would you want both?? I did a side by side, and the Curio was better. And more pocketable. You just gotta put up with that double hinge design..... but that's a given due to the size.

    This happens in all walks of life with folk who are knowledgeable in their field. I have a mate who is a competition level cyclist..... his bikes are insanely expensive. He laughs at my single speed Kona mountain bike.... and certainly wouldn't be seen on it.... but I think it's pretty good...

    Strange response really. So your Leica BA's were compromised inside to the point that you had to sell them cheaply to compensate. Perhaps if you had got them serviced, say after 10 years or so, to have them re-filled, and sealed and generally checked over.... Mmmmm:unsure:

    From memory the Genesis was exceptional for CA control, but the 44mm versions are heavy... the 33mm not so much.
