New person - need some urgent bird advice
Hi - quick update - the bird is still there, hopping up and down. Just called the RSPB, they said it is likely to be a juvenile that can't really fly yet, best thing to do is just leave it out there, with chopped fruit/nuts/seeds and water until it finds its wings and takes off... -

By the way, the balcony is only about 18 inches wide (and 20 foot long), but enclosed with glass on all four sides up to a height of about three-four feet. So it's like a massive tank. The bird mainly hopped around the canteen when I was coaxing it out, but it did fly a (very short) distance... -

I found a bird in our work canteen today. Managed to coax it outside onto a balcony but it's still out there. (it was hours ago). the balcony is narrow and enclosed on all four sides (quite a small space) with glass. I don't know whether the bird just hasn't worked out that it can fly out...
