    SFL 8x30 worth it?

Compactness is its forte. I have the 3 of them: the SF and NL Pure are much more comfortable optically. I was kind of disappointed by the SFL 8x30 compared to the 8x40 because eye placement is much more critical.

Brief reviews about Zeiss victory SFL 8/10 x40

BTW, as much as I appreciate them, I was watching falcons against a perfect blue sky yesterday and for the first time I wished for less CA. On the other hand, I took them with me on holidays instead of my NL Pure because of their weight and size: you can't have it all.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

This is Godwin's law and proof you have really no point.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

Like others, I'm not comfortable with "crush". For instance, I have the "subalpha" SFL. I prefer it to the SF I own too. Only my NL Pure gives me a better view but I use it less because the SFL weight and size are a big plus. Others have expressed different or similar opinions so we are at a...

Brief reviews about Zeiss victory SFL 8/10 x40

Did you try using a harness? I'm using this one: Ultralight Binocular Harness - Rick Young Outdoors BTW I agree about weight especially because I carry photo gear too. So I tend to use the SFL more than the NL Pure. Too bad because as you said, the Swaro view is fabulous.

    Curio Whoopsie!

Are you sure you want to go down this road? This is even worse than being sure of something without any fact to back it up. Or maybe you are trying to collect all the known cognitive biases: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases

    Curio Whoopsie!

I have both. I've never used the UV since I bought the Curio. I prefer Leica ergonomics and general feeling but they give a tunnel vision compared to the Curio.

    Curio Whoopsie!

And I had more problem with Leica binoculars than Swaro. So did you prove something? Based on what? Because if for instance Swaro sells more and it seems to be the case, you will also have more problems reported. I'm not saying that Zeiss and Leica are not more reliable. I'm just saying that...

    Curio Whoopsie!

It seems that people who think so do not have one. I hope for you that the binoculars you have are 100% issues free and that no user ever reported one here.

    Curio Whoopsie!

Unfortunately no. But it was a variant of the one I built to open and close a knife to loosen it too. I have a rubber ring going from the robot rotating part to the focuser and programmed it to turn it one way then back. It was simpler than with the knife.

    Curio Whoopsie!

Indeed. For instance, the focuser of the Ultravid 8x20 I bought new a few years ago before the Curio was very firm. I used a Lego Mindstorm robot to turn it both ways for a few days just to get it right. I could have them exchanged but it was more fun this way ;)

    Curio Whoopsie!

This is the Internet effect: every problem is blown out of proportion. If you read the forum, all binoculars have a massive flaw. And this is true: I have a blue ring in my SF, my Victory 8x25 focus wheel felt, the NL Pure has some flare sometimes, my Leica 8x32 BA focuser stopped working, my...

10x32 SF birds of prey, next owls?

    Does this mean something?

Why can't Swarovski get a little thing right? NL Objective cover issues.

I never had the problem with the 8x42 but had it with the more recent 8x32. I replaced them with Vortex ones.
