    What's this duck?

Hey you do know that all ducks except muscovy are decended from mallards. So of coarse it has some mallard in there. It's a Caygun mixed with blueswede.

    Does Anyone Recognize This Baby

She did all of that but it must have had injuries she couldn't see it died yesterday. It was odd to find it alone. Something probably invaded the nest and the mom moved the others leaving the wounded one behind.

A little off your subject but maybe someone might know

I have a friend who has a domestic white Pekin duck that recently has layed green eggs with blood streaks on them. I know eggs sometimes may have blood on them but this duck usually lays white eggs. Could she have been mated by a passer by duck? Say a mallard? Do they have green eggs. Now quit...

    Sexing id

Well as for coloring and markings she is a female muscovy. Now the fact that the egg was abandoned and we really don't know if both her parents were muscovy. You see the male muscovy is very aggressive towards any female duck it can get a hold of. They are one of few animal species that are...

    Sexing id

:eek!: I know kind of a touchy subject. I just don't know what the differences of the sexes look like. Hey sometimes you just need to ask folks who might know. I looked for hours yesterday online to find pictures. I guess no one wants to talk about such things. Well they write some but for us...

    Sexing id

Does anyone here know where I can find information on "How to sex a duck?" I am fairly sure I have a female but I have no background in this type of identification. I guess I would need a good picture of both so I can compare them to this duck.

Strange Goose- Can someone help ID?

Someone from my duck site told me muscovies are from South America. That may be why you can't find it in a North American book. Nibbles is part muscovy. The pretty part. Thank goodness. he got the pekin face and head with a little speckling. Also his bill and feet are light not black. They said...
