    Jackdaw

I'm guessing you might be in the north of England. If so, this is the likely project Crows | cr-birding and you can report your sighting to: [email protected] If you send a crop of the rings from your original full res image, that may help pin down the individual bird. More...

    Swan BTO Ring numbers.

Just talk to your friendly local swan ringer! We can assist rescuers over the phone if they need urgent info on where best to release a swan that is ringed and therefore has a history. But we always ask that these encounters are reported by the rescuer on www.ring.ac so that the information...

Ringed Sandpiper ID? - Chongqing, China

Despite the very good pics, the address is hard to match with any scheme, especially as the lower line is partially obscured by wear (spiling) where the aluminium has peeled up over it. The ring looks typical for one manufactured by Mekaniska (used by many centres in continental Europe). I...

    White-Crowned Sparrow - Southern California

You can report it online here and you should get the original banding details back in due course. Do let the Forum know what you find out!: https://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/BBL/bblretrv/index.cfm

    Kentish Plover - Maharashtra India

In light of your previous post, this would appear to be from a local project. I've emailed the IWSG co-ordinator and will let you know if I hear anything back.

    Ruddy turnstone - Maharashtra, India

This doesn't correspond exactly with any scheme on the IWSG Colour-mark Online Database. The closest (but unlikely) match is a Canadian project which uses two white three character engraved flags on the left tibia, metal on right tibia, contact is: [email protected] Worth checking if they...

    Banded vulture in Spain

But have you reported the sighting? If not, please do so (with the pic) to [email protected] and they should be able to pin it down to an individual.

Ring Identification - Firth of Forth, Scotland

Unfortunately, the images simply aren't clear enough and it can be really difficult to interpret highlighted areas. Nothing in these that I can see that eliminates a BTO size A2 ring put on upside down. Any chance of more pics or getting a local ringer to catch it?

    Turnstone with metal ring

After a long gap, I've had another go at trying to track this ring down. At first I could not match the address with a ringing scheme, but I now think that the upper line may read (MUS)EUM BOX (5)32(0) with (REYK)JAVI(K) below. If Islandic, it should have 7 (rather than 8) digits so only the...
