Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 vs. 8x42 for birding

I think you should take another look at the conquest stats. Might be slightly on heavy side for 32’s , but definitely more compact than most 42’s. It is also a good step up optically from the two you mentioned, probably two separate from the Oberwerk.

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

It’s more of a luxury to keep them all 😉

Leitz: Alphas from yesteryear, still in use today.

What a great collection, all beauties 🙏🏼.

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

The NL is one of the best binoculars on the market today. The NL’s are a clear step up from the MHG and all the other MHG price range options. Other options on the NL level are the Swaro EL’s ( great bargains right now), the Zeiss SF’s and the Leica Noctivids, all of which have their own...

Best 8x Bino’s for the money

If you have the money and want the best, you spend the money and get an EL, SF, NL, or Noctivid and maybe the Ultravids, and you’ll probably never look back. If you want real good bins and want to save some money, then any one of the $1000 range bins will serve you well for just as long as the...

In dilemma Noctivid 10x42 vs NL Pure 10x42

They certainly are excellent binoculars, I had three of them.

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

There are so many ways to respond to this , I don’t know where to start. I always thought alcohol and drugs were a hobby 😂. You’d agree if you seen my collection of single malt scotch. It depends on how much money you allot to the wife and kids 🤪. It depends if there’s a girlfriend on the...

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I’ve been guilty more than a few times trying a new optic for the first time and being overly impressed, only to find out after numerous outings that they were not as good as I originally perceived. Or that they were equal to some other optic costing...

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

This was a good review. I’m a little surprised of the differing opinion in this review and some others in relation to Holger and Neil’s. There seems to be a huge difference between some placing the BC in the $500 Nikon M7 level and $3000 alpha level.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

No, it’s an analogy that you clearly didn’t understand. And it seems whatever point was being made went way over your head.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

I’m so surprised about how many people are so excited about another inexpensive/cheap optic from China. It’s like every body is ready to jump out a windows to send their money to China without a thought, other than to a save some money, even when there are tried and true other options. It’s...

New baby goslings. And the optic for the day.

Problem with green coating of EL SV 8x32

Has anybody used multiple Swaros binoculars in hot humid weather multiple times over the years, and have not had an issue with armor? I mean besides me.
