    Unsuspecting

Cool Shot! I see you are using the fruit. When I saw your photo it reminded me to get my oranges and rush out the door. I was thinking later in the month but since your photo I'm not taking any chances. :) Nice find seeing both Tanagers at once plus getting the photo.

    Pileated Woodpecker Home?

I'll get back out once this snow and muddy mess is gone. The tree is by the creek so super soggy ground there right now. I'll look for more holes and let you know what I find. LOL John.

    Pileated Woodpecker Home?

I have two Pileated Woodpeckers on our farm. I was out looking for their home and came across this large hole and wondered if it could be their home or an old home they had. A smaller hole is below..looks fresh in the making. Wondering more about the above hole.

Saw this little one this morning. It is tiny compared to the other sparrows I have. Similar in size to a savannah sparrow but I think a tad smaller. Vivid Reddish head..no spot on breast. Thanks for any help. In the first photo it is beside two white crowned sparrows. Chipping Sparrow?

Ducks and Geese on my pond

Wood Duck The elusive wood duck has been spotted once again. My son saw them last Winter on part of our creek hidden way in the back of the property. I never did get to see them. Yesterday my husband said he saw two of the wood ducks, a male and female, further down on our creek. Of course...

    Critter at local park

Wow, that would have given me a surprise! This time of year the hawks will be nesting or have already have some. It may had been scared up the tree or it was looking for an egg are my best guesses. Interesting find.
