    Swarovski service, again

I haven't registered them yet and they didn't ask. (Btw, yesterday the shop informed me about having received the lens covers)

    Swarovski service, again

The SLC 8X42 I purchased in 17th of February was sadly lacking the pair of lens overs. The (local) shop promised to get them, but failed to deliver. Having waited two weeks I called them and was told they had ordered but not got them yet, they would contact Swarovski again. After another week...

BITFEOV for my new SLC 8x42

Hi brocknroller, Tobias Mennle inspired me to modify eyecups of binoculars. After some try-and-error I found bitfeov to be the most practical one for me. On old Porros and compact binoculars I use a method similar to TM's by putting my indexfingers where he added foam, thus filling the big void...

    EL 10x42 casing deterioration.

And let's not forget, Swarovski will replace the binocular's "skin" free of charge.

    Swarovski EL W B 8x32 - Flare

"I find on these pages there is often a tendency to transfer ones own experience to everybody else, and disbelief when those experiences conflict..." Well, where would be the fun, were we to consider the most important factors in using a binocular: eyes and brain.

    EL 10x42 casing deterioration.

"...there is always denial at first..."🤣🤣🤣 With 25 years in an outdoor store under the belt this sounds very familiar: it's a rare customer who freely admits that he had done something he shouldn't have done.

Do I want an EII 8x30?

Here is more about the pupil diameter: "Maximum dilated pupil size varies with age and other factors. A child under 10 years of age may reach maximum dilation of 8mm or slightly more when fully dark adapted. A young adult’s entrance pupil may be as large as 7.5mm. As we age, our eyes may no...

BITFEOV for my new SLC 8x42

I don't know what causes it. I just see more fine detail with the SLC than the EL.

BITFEOV for my new SLC 8x42

    "... I usually get the most pleasure from 7x binoculars ..." Me, too. I wish 7 x 35 would be as common as 8 x 32.

BITFEOV for my new SLC 8x42

I will definitely keep the SLC 8x42. It's the only 42 I own and fits me very well. Of the two I would sell the EL 8x32, if I had to sell a bino. But only, because I own several 8x32. I also haven't "tested" them really hard. Brightness is obviously quite different between these two binos, being...

Swarovski NL 8x42 - First Impressions

Under the asumption that not all eyes are equal, 90% of this thread are utter rubbish.

Swarovski NL 8x42 - First Impressions

"...Shocking experience: whatever I tried: no glare, flare, internal reflections did turn up. Fortunately my wife accompanied me and she could give immediate medical help, since I was completely devastated: I do not see any glare, unwanted reflections or anything other unwanted ghost images...

    Swarovski winged eyecups on EL

BITFEOV for my new SLC 8x42

For me, binocular needs to have way big eyecups to avoid kidney beans and get a decent ease-of-view. (This is one reason why I like my Kowa Genesis 8x43 as it is and had to beef up the eyecups on my El 8x32 with the winged ones.) For the new SLC 8x42 I have yet to acquire a set, so in the...
