    January Visit to NM

    Your trip to New Mexico Two spots that I would recommend are Aransas NWR in Texas and Bosque del Apache in NM. You can Google either for lots of good info. I think both would fit nicely into your Houston/Albuquerque trip. I'm a novice birder but if you visit the websites for these loctions...

    Thanks so much to everyone, especially for the warm welcome. based on what I am seeing and hearing from you all, I'm thinking what I saw were Brewer's Blackbirds. Although this aerial attack took place at a pretty high altitude, they appeared to have no distinguishable markings... just black...
