    Milan International Airport

Marco and Steve! We ended up not having enough time to leave Malpensa, but wandering the airport (and staring out of every window) we did manage to see four Lifers: Grey Wagtail Hooded Crow Eurasian Kestral Black Redstart Thanks again, Rob

    Milan International Airport

Marcofiorati and Cuckooroller: Yes, it is indeed the Malpensa Airport (and silly me for not including that in my first e-mail!). Thank you both for your replies! And thank you Marofiorati for the link to the Park. I am really looking forward to the trip, and hoping we will be able to scoot out...

    Milan International Airport

On our way to Madrid, Spain, my birding friends and I will have a 7 hour stop-over in Milan, Italy. Does anyone know if there are any "birdy" spots around the airport? I'm hoping to make the best of the stop-over and rack up a few Lifers. Thanks for your help! Rob Miller Ontario, Canada

ats 80 hd with or without case

I have an ATS-80 Swarovski scope, and am considering ordering the stay-on case. Can anyone tell me when the Swarovski stay-on case is in place, are you still able to rotate the body of the ATS-80 so shorter people can see out of the scope? This is a feature I use often. Thanks! Rob Miller

    Quebec City/Baie-Saint-Catherine, Quebec

I am just back from a whirlwind trip to Quebec City and its environs. A buddy from Atlanta, GA (Malcolm Hodges) is presently enrolled in a two week French Immersion Program in Quebec City, so I used some air miles and flew down for a long weekend. Malcolm met me at the airport Friday afternoon...

    South West Wales - SUGGESTIONS?

Hey Moose1991! Vancouver was great! While at my conference a local birder took me out birding to a number of local hot spots (Cypress Provincial Park, Lower Works Yard (near Cypress), Klootchman Park (West Vancouver) and Grant Narrows Regional Park.) This wasn't my first trip out, so besides...

    South West Wales - SUGGESTIONS?

Best field guide for Wales? Birdman and Pete (and others!): I just found a copy of "Birds of Europe with North Africa and the Middle East" 1992 by Lars Jonsson at my local used book store. A few days ago I ordered a new copy of "Birds of Europe" 1999 by Lars Svensson and Peter J. Grant off...

    South West Wales - SUGGESTIONS?

Hi Pete and Birdman! Thanks for the replies. I just found a great read about Skomer and Ramsay on the Fatbirder website. Also Birdman's trip report was great! I'm on my way to pick up a map of Wales, and to map out your route. I may end up birding in your footsteps. Almost everyone of your...
