Should I buy Kowa YF II 6x30 or 8x30 - help needed

    I totally agree. 👍🏻

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Leica (Noctivid), Swarovski (NL Pure & EL) and Zeiss (Victory SF)?

Thanks again. 👍🏻 I already own the Genesis Prominar XD in 8.5x44 and 10.5x44 (very happy with both), but have never tried / compared them to the Alphas.

Thank you! 👍🏻 *EDIT: So, in your opinion, although the Kowa Genesis line does not quite match the upper level, but they may be one of the best purchases (price / quality = sweet spot) one can make?

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Nikon (Monarch HG)?

Anyways, like I say, in the end "everything" is subjective, because even if you can numerically quantify this or that, it comes down to personal tastes / preferences to choose this or that binocular over others.

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Nikon (Monarch HG)?

If with binoculars that offer me 80% image quality I only feel 10% viewing pleasure and with others that offer me only 10% more image quality I feel 90% viewing pleasure, I think that I would have a problem, but not in my eyes.

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Nikon (Monarch HG)?

That's very true. Yes. An increase in price can be numerically quantified (objective value), whereas an increase in quality can't (subjective value). Still, though, you can see if the difference in image quality is: very noticeable, moderately noticeable, barely noticeable / almost identical...

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Zeiss (Victory SF)?

I have an Abbe-Koenig prisms bino (Blaser Primus 8x56) and it certainly is brighter than my 8.5x44 Genesis, but not by much.

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Nikon (Monarch HG)?

What I can say is that, beyond certain quality, improvements become more and more difficult & more and more costly. At some point, an increase of, let's say, 20% in quality, comes with an increase of 50% in price. And at the next step, an increase of an extra 10% in quality, comes with an...

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Zeiss (Victory SF)?

Thank you very much for your detailed comments / comparison. 👍🏻 But are you sure you had the Genesis Prominar XD? The format you mentioned (10x42) is featured on the BD II XD model (lower series) while the Genesis Prominar XD (higher series) is 10.5x44.

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Leica (Noctivid)?

Well, I'm pretty sure that, comparing them each other or not, the Noctivids would blow me away (despite its narrow FOV)! Your Genesis model was the 8x33, that is different than the 8.5x44 (which apparently is far better than the 8x33 as far as I've read).

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Swarovski (NL Pure & EL SV)?

That comment obviously refers to yourself. I would have never posted such kind of message to anybody. This is my politeness. You did. That's yours. 😊

Have you compared the best Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD) side by side against the best Leica (Noctivid)?

Yes, you are right. No one knows who manufactures Kowa Genesis Prominar XD line binoculars. Kowa Europe (in Germany) assures (I have their e-mail) they are made in Japan, but they refuse to say where. That's an implicit estatement to recognize they are NOT in-house made by Kowa, but by a third...

For your information, I do already own the Kowa Genesis Prominar XD 8.5x44 and the Kowa Genesis Prominar XD 10.5x44. I just want to know the opinion of those who have compared any of the Genesis Prominar XD line vs the Alphas. Thank you.
