    Long black beak a little curved black tail feathers brown body black top of head large robin size feeds on worms in grass and has been at our feeder it's not a Flicker chest is light with some reddish brown with black spots Thank you for looking!

    His feeding habit is worms along with the robins and he has visited our feeder for seed. I am trying to get better photos.

    There's no red color on him and the northern flicker is lighter colored. Thanks for your comments. He is much darker brown with black tail and black top of head.

    Beak is black and on the long side, black tail feathers, brown body feathers, black on top of head and light belly color with spots. Anyone have a clue what this bird is? We have gone thru hundreds of identification types and with no luck... Anone have a clue what he is?
