Thank you both for your tips. I have looked at the Findhorn Valley and that really looks like where the action might be. Cheers

    Cairngorms

Evening, Planning my first trip over the border to bonny Scotland, from relations in Northumberland. So will only have a couple of days. The ideal is to see Golden Eagle. I think the Cairngorms is the furthest I can get to in the time allowed, and so is there any particular viewing spots that...

Local bird tour guide Sri Lanka

Hey, We went with 'Walk With Jith' back in '13 and had a great week with his Driver/Guide Nandana. Did a few sites incl Yala, Bundala and Sinharaja. The latter being absolutely magical. This is a small Sri Lankan company. I would echo the need for leech socks, the little creatures are...

    Grey Seals ?

Hi, Personally I think that the seals visible for id in photos 2,3,4 and 5 are all Commons. As mentioned before it is photo 1 where you have a mixture, but I can see two Greys here - being the two animals close together on the right looking at the camera. Nice photos though. Cheers, George

    nikon macro lens

Hi, I've got a D7100 and use a Sigma 105mm f2.8 OS Macro lens. Macro is completely different way to normal photography and takes plenty of learning to get some alright shots. But it is very fun and you can get some unique shots.

    Buying advice; camera and lens

Like your style Chosun, jumping in with a Nikon on the Canon feed. Incidentally, how does the Tamron G2 150-600 rate against the Nikon 200-500 ? on a D7100. Cheers, George

Footsteps in the Gambia - November 2016

Hi Digbert, You are too modest, these photos are very impressive. You say it is only a Bridge Camera, but could you elaborate on what make/model. I have supposedly upgraded from Bridge to DSLR and am still wondering if I have made the right choice, I am really missing the flexibility of a...

    Macro conversion

Hi all, I have been seriously considering getting a macro lens for my nikon d7100, but have found recently that there is an attachment called a Raynox dcr 150 or 250 that would go onto the end of my current lens and work well for this purpose, incidentally my current lenses are nikon 35mm f1.8...
