    Watching owls near Cambridge?

I saw the little owl at Burwell really well yesterday afternoon, 3PM. You should give it another go.

    Uganda/Rwanda

The road running through Nyungwe is open all the time. There is nothing to stop you from listening for the owl from the roadside. Probably far more realistic than trying to walk on a path at night! I'm sure the rangers at the park headquarters would be willing to help, for a fee. I doubt the...

    Cuba - guide and resort

Just to add, Playa Larga is a beautiful destination in its own right. Good snorkelling at the Cueve place as well. I could happily spend a week or two there, even if Angel is only available for one day.

    Cuba - guide and resort

The Casa Mesa is a really nice guesthouse in Playa Larga. There is quite a lot of birding you can do without a guide if you want to do more than one day. Cueve de los Peces for the ground dove, the hummingbird garden at the village to the north, the crocodile farm and the marshes to the north...

    Trip to Iguazu

Independent birding is not too hard there either. The forest is reasonably open. I found a track into the main area of forest on the Argentine side of Iguazu, away from the masses of tourists and had some great birds. This was a while ago though so it may have changed.

    Mayday farm- Goshawk

I saw one fly over the A11 randomly a few weeks ago. They are very much present. I think on a still, warmish, sunny March day, wandering around the forest tracks in that area, you have a good chance of connecting with a goshawk. Good luck! Edit: I should add that I doubt you will get a good...

    Goa in June?

Goa is seriously wet in June. A friend who over summered there says it is not good. How about further north, in the Himalayas? There are heaps of birds. India is a lovely country and generally very safe.

    Pied Crow near M’hamid yesterday

That's great news Mohamed. Am I right in thinking that it is usually seen in the north east of town, on the right when you first enter the town? Thanks John

    Birdguides new system

In addition I used to be able to search for 'warbler' to pick up all birds with that term, but now that has been banned. And the filter has to be turned on every time i want to use it.
