    Very high water levels at the moors this morning all the islands just about covered and the water is now across the causeway . The tree surgeons have done a great job on the willow next to the Jacob's hide , really good views out of the end window now . Plenty of birds around , huge pidgeon /...

    Just got back from the moors , the salwarpe is now in flood and water running across east track , passable wearing wellingtons but getting worse by the minute . Pollarding well underway next to Jacob's hide . Birds : snipe , shell duck , great crested grebe , pochard , little grebe and kestrel .

    Also at the Moors this morning about 9.30 from the Jacob's hide a good view of an otter and on the west track male and female Bullfiinch .

    At Arrow valley lake today , 8 or 9 goosander , male and female , several great crested grebes and a kingfisher ..

    Two common snipe on the new shingle in front of lapwing hide today , very visible for over an hour . Five curlew and six pochard from the same hide . Great spotted woodpecker and a coal tit at the North moors hide .

    I saw the Black Swan fly over the flashes , about 10.45 am , with a Mute Swan .
