EII, Action, and Action Egret II

Thanks AP! I really appreciate the thoughts, and your assumptions were correct =)

EII, Action, and Action Egret II

I apologize if this is so obvious that I shouldn't be asking, but I have scoured the internet for far too many hours to try and discern which binocular to try and pick up... From my understanding the EII is a classic and favorite, although hard to distinguish externally from the E predecessor...

Diopter adjustment with and without glasses?

Hmm, the hat suggestion may be spot on. I couldn't quite articulate what the issue was, but I do believe it is the extra light coming in from the sides. Thanks!

    Unknown bird, Georgia USA

Hey guys. This was taken near a farm with a sizable pond nearby Aug 23, 2017 Georgia USA. Despite the abberation from my iPhone zoomed in and looking through my 8x binoculars, I don't think there's any red coloration on the head. What struck me was yellow banding or coloration on the tail...

    How to do better birding?

Thanks all, very good input. Located just south of Chattanooga, TN. I think I'll try to stop being mesmerized by a bird, and instead start taking critical notes =P Good suggestion. Also, knowing the common locals so that a more rare bird stands out is a good concept. I appreciate all the feedback!

    How to do better birding?

Hi everyone, I'm definitely new to this game. My "birding experience" involves walking down my road to a local pond in the early morning hours, where I generally see more turtles than birds. How do you guys optimize your chances of having a thrilling birding experience? Admittedly, I can't...

Which bino comarable to Monarch 7 with an unlimited warranty?

Hi guys I am looking for a bino with a wide field of view and comparable to the Nikon Monarch 7, but if I pick one up used somewhere, I will not be able to get it fixed without paying an unknown sum... Any thoughts on a similar binocular that has a better warranty, so I could look over time...

Diopter adjustment with and without glasses?

I appreciate the view through my binos best without my glasses; however, to walk around or survey the area, I pretty much need my glasses. My question is: would I need to adjust my diopter as I switch back and forth between glasses and no-glasses? If so, that'd be too cumbersome and I'll sadly...

Best pick: Leupold Yosemite 8x30 and Atlas Radian 8x42

Heh, I intend to ship it to EO for repair before offering it as a gift. That's where my question lies though; since I can't compare the two, I was wondering which of the two models you guys think may be superior. I suppose in the end, my wife may just choose by feel or personal preference, as...

Best pick: Leupold Yosemite 8x30 and Atlas Radian 8x42

Hi friends. I've been lurking a while, but finally bought some binoculars and as such, I felt the need to join the community (this is my first forum I've joined, so I don't quite know how to navigate and do everything properly yet). The situation: My wife and I would like to start birding. Her...
