Hi Huntso, If I put my feeders that close to an Ivy trail the squirels will distroy the feeder I hang mine between 2 tree's with 40lb sea fishing line. The squirels can't get to them. I have been practicing with Andrew's settings and they seem to be working. I used a wood pigeon as it left a...

Also did you shoot in bursts and picked the best one or was it a single shot and you caught the moment. All your coaltit shots are excellent...

    Bird feeder movement

Hi All, Today I had a Thrush on my garden feeder. I always use A and let the camera do the rest. ISO Auto, Lens has option of IS on or off, I leave it on. The problem is the pictures came out blurred as the Thrush is sitting in the feeder and it is swinging. The same thing happened when the...

If so how close do you Steve or Gergrd need to get to the birds or wildlife to take a picture, when you say that you changed to canon because there isnt the lenses made for...

What to wear under a fleece?

Base Layers - long sleeve top and long johns. Merino Wool is the best and the most expensive. I did notice when i was in Millets yesterday that they had Peter Storm Base Layers at half price about £9 each. I use peter storm for walking and they are very good in the cold weather. Ian

    Olympus E-620

I quite agree you do need a certain amount of detail for ID. Let me say this.. I started this post asking about the new E-620 with all the bells and whistles its quite an expensive outfit. As i only take pictures for my own enjoyment i would be just as happy with the E-1, E-300 etc.. I am not a...
