Costa Rica / Hawk ID help

Hi, a good friend of mine is currently in Costa Rica and she has seen this one some days ago. She suggests that it is a "Roadside Hawk", but isn´t a 100% sure and I´ve no clue about the species over there, so any help is highly appreciated Location: Costa Rica, Golfo Dulce Region close to...

ID Help - Sylt / Germany

Hi, would need some help with those [Sylt / early Sept.], especially with the first one: 1) I´m not really used to great divers; I would guess it´s a red-throated loon or maybe black-throated. But I´m noway near a well-grounded decision or maybe the pic is too bad anyway. 2) Green...

    Warbler ID / Austria

Hi, I would be really thankful for some help with the one below. Somehow I would go for Barred Warbler (maybe due to the white lined feathers on the wings) or Booted Warbler, but I´m not really convinced of that option. Unfortunately I´ve never seen none of them in real life… location...

confirmation needed / Western Bonelli's warbler

Hi, saw that one in the NP Neusiedlersee, Austria in a small wood. I would go for Western Bonelli´s, but not 100% sure, so would be thankful for some help. Thanks

    Extremadura confirmations needed

Thanks for all the help guys and BAM! Iberian Chiffchaff! I didn´t expect to come home with that one from a simple bicycle tour through one of the most monotonous monocultures I´ve ever been in :) @3: I didn´t go for Common Whitethroat cause the eyering seems not that much bright to me and the...

    Extremadura confirmations needed

Hi, I would need confirmation/correction for my guesses about those ones, taken in Extremadura (Almendralejo; Hornachos) in the last month. 1) Cinereous vulture (maybe it is damn easy; but I couldn´t find a picture of a young griffon vulture in my books so I couldn´t eliminate this other...

    ID problems / Austria, Tyrol

@John: I actually noted Wheatear in the field, but then saw the picture at home and got confused by the blue-grey back and the little orange... but Wheatear seems right to me too - and damn it I will never leave my 7D at home for a tour!

    ID problems / Austria, Tyrol

Hi, would need some help with those two; both were seen 2300m above sea level - I would suggest Rock Thrush and maybe Western Bonelli's Warbler but second one is only a guess... Thanks for ever help that can be given :) Fabian

Much to identify / Pitztal, Austria

Hi, thank you really much for those first ideas. I know these are too much pictures for a thread, but I thought maybe anyone can see anything on one of them. And for a beginner like me even one more identification is really helpful |=)| Actually there are "only" |:$| ten birds... I forget...
