In dilemma Noctivid 10x42 vs NL Pure 10x42

Denco is right about the SLCs though. They are phenomenal binoculars and well worth considering

Yes I thought the White Tailed Eagle was quite a funny identification

SWAROVSKI AX VISIO: MY LEARNINGS IN A NUTSHELL

Yes you are correct. Thank you. I just could not recall what it is called. I'm assuming the Visio is the next generation update of the DG?

Brief review of Meopta Meostar B1+ 8x42. (in comparison with Zeiss Victory SFL 8x40

I disagree with you in respect of the SLC. This binocular is very much in the "Alphas" class that you mentioned. Not flat field view, which many people prefer, but the image quality, central sharpness and brightness of image is very much up there with the others. I've not looked through a...

SWAROVSKI AX VISIO: MY LEARNINGS IN A NUTSHELL

I tried something like the Visio when the NL came out. It was Swarovski but as this device is fairly new I'm not sure what it was I sampled at a Swarovski trial day?

Which monocular as a substitute for binoculars...?

I'm blind in my left eye but still prefer to use binoculars as I can hold them better than a monocular.

Best alpha binocular for ageing glasses wearer?

I've looked through all of the above except for the NV and to be honest I prefer my SLC 8x42.

Enjoy your ELs. You will not regret buying them.

FHR for 10x32 and 12x42 NL

This is the only regret about my SLCs. I'd like a FHR for it

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

I have the 8x42 SLC and I am perfectly happy with them. The view is bright and crystal clear and I don't feel that I am missing anything at the far edge of the view. The difference in view between the EL and the SLC at the outer edge is minimal. Yes the EL gives a marginally clearer view but...

    Current RSPB 8x42 HD binoculars?

Hawke Frontier EDX 8x42 is a good alternative with excellent after sales service too https://www.birders-store.co.uk/hawke-frontier-ed-x-8x42-binoculars.html

    A strange 8x32 choice.

If you use a Rick Young harness you do not notice the weight as it's distributed across your chest. I can carry my SLC 8x42 all day long and barely know they are there.

Selling el 8x32 second hand binoculars.

I wonder if they ever got sold?

A day afield with 8x42 NLs after 20 years using 8x32 EL and EL SVs.

I'll stick with my SLCs. I don't notice any glare with them.
