Limburg Netherlands - Icterine Warbler ...?

Can't confidently id with these pics but colouration, 'cute' face and possibly shortish wing maybe more in line with Melodious. That said the song is very different with Icterine being quite squeaky/screechy, so sound recording would def resolve.

    Breskens migration watch next week

Was there on Saturday only. Good day with lots of variety but nothing compared to yesterday. Thanks for your help.

R7 for bird photography and birds in flight

Looking forward to seeing those. I've tried to take pics of hirundines and swifts at a migration site yesterday and it's been a bit of a disaster. Focus lock was very tricky and the camera was hunting a lot. Still getting to grips with the slight delay in seeing the image with mirrorless but...

    Breskens migration watch next week

Thank you, looks like the wind is swinging round to easterlies from tomorrow, but very light winds. What impact does wind strength have and which day would look best on current forecast?

    Breskens migration watch next week

Would much appreciate any information if there is a good migration day expected at Breskens watch point in the next week. I've never been as yet and would like to go over if conditions are favourable.

    Purple Heron?

Dark looking heron this morning. Unfortunately bins only and very distant in overcast conditions (so very dark looking). Massive crop of photos taken. Is it enough to confirm Purple Heron or are the photo inconclusive? Photos cropped and slightly lightened. Purple Heron observed in the same...

    24/7 Raspberry Pi/birdNET monitoring

Any tutorials on how to use birdNET analyser? I've installed it and it works fine when using short clips. When uploading longer .wav files the file appears not to be there on completion.

    24/7 Raspberry Pi/birdNET monitoring

Thank you. What I'm trying to understand is of there are active users of the birdweather device and what is their experience compared to other options. Deletion of non-IDs is a big drawback for me. Anyone who's done nocmig knows that unknown are a regular feature. Also it really depends on the...

    Birdweather recording device

Hi, has anyone got any hands on experience with the birdweather recording device? BirdWeather - a living library of bird vocalizations. I've previously used a voice recorder, then an audiomoth and then a parabolic dish for nocmig recording (with the dish being best by far). I've given up on...

Source of bird recording gear based in the UK

I've used this for some time (after starting out with just a recorder and then an audiomoth device). A real step up in quality/sensitivity. Very happy with the results generally, although I don't have the comparison to the branded equipment. Very easy to use too...

Large Gull ID, UK - 23/02

Had wondered about YL Gull in the field but reviewing the pics I wonder if it is just a Herring Gull. Thoughts/comments welcome.
