    Durham ,Butterflies, Moths and Dragonflies.

    Hi Seggs Ive only see 2 myself this year while stitting outside the glass museum my mates had one in his garden down hear. Ive only seen a few comas also but otherwise butterflies seem to have had a good year loads of Argus in the quaries and I saw over 20 Dark green frits. at a site on the moors.

    would be nice to see this thread pick up again...just wanted to post that I saw a humingbird hawk moth on 14th July at Wingate quarry loads of marbled whites also ..any one seen the hBHM's up here this year ?

    Help with Mediteranian Bird ID's please

    Hi sorry the pics arnt to good.The bird was about 200 miles off the coast of Italy ( up the top Genoa) it caused a stir amongst other roosting birds.

    Hi please could some one help with ID's of these birds. Thank you I'm almost certain the last bird is a Woodchat Shrike and possibly the bird of prey is a Peregrine but stumped on the others (pos. Cirl bunting !) Thanks again.

    Thank you Simon I was hoping it was. It was the evening before we got to Genoa coming from the west but land wasnt visible at the time and it was hot.

    This Warbler landed on a ship I was on in the Med. about Tuesday along with black caps and some other small birds. My daughters only handling one as it flopped onto the deck and could have been stood on. In the evening a bird of prey flew onto the ship and birds scattered all over ...Ill post...

    Hi i took my dogs out yesterday at 12midday and saw a Buzzard over Woodham golf course ...I've seen it 4 times over the last 6 weeks in the area but 2hrs later got a text to say a white tailed eagle was over Bradbury less than a mile away as the buzzard flies, thought it must have been the same...
