    Raptors are starting to move through Panama. Today we had around 10,000 Mississippi Kites (Ictinia mississippensis) Here are some pics I made from my balcony! This was at 9:00AM Panama City time. Some few Black Vultures mingle among the kites but they are residents.

    Advice for birding area in central Panama

    I personally like Cerro Azul area. some few owners will rent their home and/or you can find places to rent on VRBO or AirB&b. Lots of trails, safe, no one else around usually and some neighbors has feeders where you can go and shoot.
