    1000th bird?

Hi Edward Sounds like an interesting game for the forum. Which Australian bird will be 1000? Maybe an Australian T-shirt to the first correct guess? Of course I do have a few years to work on the rules. : ) Nice picture Edward.

    Canadagirl123's life list

Nice list !!! Great start for 17. You have 18 species that would be lifers for me. Guess I must travel to B.C. someday. Good luck on making 200. Dennis

One day tour out of Quito Ecuador

Sounds like an exciting trip!! When I visited Ecuador I stayed at the Tandayapa Lodge(Tropical Birding). They have an office in Quito. They will pick you up. If you opt to go to the lodge I can tell you this....In the first 2 hours there I saw 19 species of hummingbirds alone! Their back...

    1000th bird?

Good job Andy and James! Costa Rica is great, but Ecuador.......WOW!!!! By the way....I've a picture of a Long-eared on my wall too. Seen with 6 others in a tree near my home. They looked like Christmas tree ornaments. A Trogon for your 1000th is icing on the cake. Hope I'm so lucky.

    1000th bird?

Good job all. Congrats Dave and Dave !!!!!! I'll be traveling across The U.S. for 6 weeks in September and October. Made a "potential" list(as I do before all my trips). Looks like around 30 possible lifers. I'd be glad for half that. Every new one pushes me to venture further afield to...

    My life list

Nice list grackle. Wish I would have started listing at your age. With just under 10,000 species on the planet, it takes awhile to get them all. : ) Dennis

    1000th bird?

Wow Dave. Are you in a witness protection program(LOL)? And thanks, good to be back. Congrats wintibird. Sounds like a trip to Ecuador would be just what you need for a jump-start to 2000. 300 in a week is VERY possible. As for me....that India trip sounds real interesting.... Dennis

    1000th bird?

Hello all! With my lifelist standing at 889, I'm dreaming about when and where I will find my 1000th. With a trip to Hawaii next year and Australia in 2008, I'm fairly confident that an Aussie bird will be the One. How about You? Anyone want to talk about their 1000th? Hope it wasn't a...
