How do you keep your lifelist, and what is included?

IGoTerra lets me keep all my bird lists as well as mammals, fish, insects, plants, etc. Basically all of "life" is on there. There are many functions that automatically organize your lists into regions etc, if that is your kind of thing. There are also many other functions available with the...

    Watamu - January 2022

Just as a follow-up, I had a real excellent trip to the Kenyan coast. I was working from home/birding for around 9 days total. I managed to get in touch with Jonathan Baya, who is still guiding, not retired. It seems his son is now a teacher and not guiding though. Jonathan can be reached...

    Bird Journal vs Scythebill

I use igoterra.com for my lists. Have been using it since it was developed by a Swedish guy from scratch when it was called globaltwitcher. I really love it and use it for all my observations, birds, mammals, fish, butterflies, plants etc. It has pretty much all life available for listing and...

Adis Ababa Bole Airport - Birds?

You are back now, sorry I only saw this now. I've seen speckled pigeon (I think, haven't ticked it), pied crow and some unidentified Hawks while passing through. Probably a starling or 2 fly-by as well. But 3.5 hours is not long there, transitting is a bit difficult. You won't see much from...

    Leaf Warbler Xinjiang, China

I only suggested Greenish from looking through my guides and the distribution maps. I don't remember if it had wing bars or not, Ishould take better notes in the field. The chiffchaff seems a possibility too. This one will likely have to go unidentified I am afraid.

    Finch, xinjiang province, China

Hi there, I saw this Finch along a side road in a small valley just off the Karakoram Highway in far western China. I think its a finch anyway. Maybe Brandt's Mountain Finch? Thanks for your help! BC
