    Sport mode on Canon SX70HS

Using the sport mode for wildlife in motion the results on playback are not displayed in sets for each ‘shot’ as with the 50HS but as individual images leading to an overwhelming number of images to view. Is there anything I can do that will show them as sets for initial sorting please?

    Norfolk Butterflies and Moths

I have several purple buddleia bushes in the garden and was wondering if anyone has experience of the yellow buddleia (B. globosa) in attracting butterflies etc.

Assuming there has been more sunshine inland than near the coast does anyone know if Swallowtails are still on the wing at Strumpshaw Fen please.

    What is an 'Irish thrush'?

My thoughts too Richard, I'll find a few more photos of Hoodies to show her.

    What is an 'Irish thrush'?

A non-birding friend recently visited the Malin Head area and described five birds present on the ground near farmland. About crow sized, black head and tail with a grey back. I suggested Hooded Crow but she'd looked in a book and said no. A local had told her "we call those Irish Thrushes"...

    Loch Lomond - A Year in the Wild - CH5 Tues 1/4 10/11/2015 20.00-21.00pm

Enjoyed tonight's programme despite occasional naff commentary. Superb footage of Black Grouse lek but why oh why was the evocative bubbling sound drowned out by loud music? Grrrrrr....

    Autumwatch 2014

While I have enjoyed Autumnwatch, as a keen birder I wonder why there has been no mention of the fabulous autumn migration. On the east coast in mid September there was a wonderful fall of birds and recently the remains of hurricane Gonzales produced some real rarities up in the Northern Isles...

Perfect directions!. I arrived at the bridge this morning at 10.30 and after about 10 mins the Osprey flew into the dead tree and was still there when I left 20 mins later. Many thanks Johnny

Regarding the Osprey that seems to be around the Lyng area, does anyone know where Kingfisher Lakes are and is there public access?

    Canon SX50 Specs

I bought a SX50 a few days ago, have taken several shots and am pleased with the results. Looking forward to studying this thread and the manual to explore the full potential of this super camera. I'm not very technical so I hope this isn't a stupid question. I purchased a Hahnel HL-10L...
