    Samsung TL 500/EX1 ?

So far, with the 20-60x Zen ED2 eyepiece, I am getting vignetting, but cropping has produced some usable images. I'm waiting for the new Zen 30x WA eyepiece to arrive this week & will post a more detailed review with pics once I have a chance to see if I can get everything to work together...

    There Can Be Only One!

Ignorance is bliss for me - untill i win the lottery i never bet on, i'm always happy & surprised to use my Zen 7x36's & would take them as my only pair to Gilligan's Island. Another vote for 7X!

    Hummingbird arrival?

Thanks, i was beginning to feel that the Ohio section should be re-named "Sleepy Hollow".

+1 on Neat Image - been using it for a couple of years with great results.

Pocket Camera Recommendation - if you already have a DSLR

    I just un-boxed a Samsung TL500 ($300) - love the 24-72mm 1.8 Schneider lens, articulating 3" display & all metal body.

    N.E. Ohio Duck?

And 30 feet away... Thanks so much for the ID help! Check out the 2 Great Blue Herons hunkering down right next to a couple of Canadian Geese - never saw herons hanging out with any other species before.

    N.E. Ohio Duck?

Coots with another ufo You guys were right - here's a photo from today & despite the snow storm, i caught a Coot with a fish in his bill and another B&W diving duck (Buffelhead?).

    N.E. Ohio Duck?

After going over lots of photos, i'm sure it's a Coot - the first Rail i've ever seen in downtown Cleveland. I'm going to try & get a photo today, but a huge snow storm is blanketing the area - so we'll see. If it had been a Wigeon i probably would have fainted on the spot - although a few years...

    N.E. Ohio Duck?

I just checked out pics of Coots - this guy had a distinctive line between his black head & medium grey body, unlike most of the pics that show more of a gradual black to dark grey coloration, also he was too far away to see the distinctive markings on the white bill. Is he just travelling thru...

    N.E. Ohio Duck?

I only have a description - white bill, black head with a grey body. A medium sized duck with a split tail & some faint white tail feathers. Alone by himself on the muddy Cuyahoga River just pecking at the debris floating by. I'm going back to the same place tomorrow with a (!x%$3*?) camera...

    Red Winged Blackbirds

Living in downtown Cleveland, i don't expect much at my feeder except for the the big three (squirrels, pidgeons & english sparrows). BUT! Just got my first RW Blackbird (male) & grackle today - what a nice surprise! For me, Chickadees, Titmouses, Nuthatches, Juncos & any woodpeckers would be...

Should I upgrade to the D7000 and sell the D90?

The D90 & D7000 make a beautiful pair together & i say keep the D90 as a back-up if you can afford it. If i'm on a serious shoot, it always pays to have 2 cameras ready to go, rather than stopping to change lenses.

New Eagle Optics Ranger and Eagle Optics Ranger ED

I bought the 12x50 Rangers & compared to the 7x36 Zen, they had too much C/A, not enough contrast & weak colors. Sent them back for BN Elite 7x26 & decided to let my high power glass be the Zen spotter instead. I wanted to buy one of the smaller 6x32 or 8x32 Rangers, but am holding back to see...

    Samsung TL 500/EX1 ?

It's comming any time now, so i'll take pics of the whole procedure to see if it works. I guess a list of cameras for digiscoping would be impossible due to all the different spotting scopes & eyepieces available. When Zen-Ray sends me their 1.25" threaded adaptor i plan to buy the Baader 17mm...

Leupold Kenai Spotting Scope-Hits the Mark

Before i got my Zen ED2 spotter i looked at the Kenai but couldn't find much info or any reviews on them. They looked really good and i'm glad you like it. How about a few pics?
