    Birding in Germany

Thanks everyone. That has lifted my spirits considerably! I'm shocked that you mention"suppression" Xenospesia ... I thought that only happened in Berkshire (my home area) :)

    Birding in Germany

Hi I will "have to" spend about a year in Germany starting this Spring/Summer It's clearly a bit of a desert, judging from the lack of trip reports. I will be about 50 miles east od Dortmund, so a long way from Brandenburg's waters and cranes Any hope at all? I can't even seem to find a bird...

    Collins bird guide app

Martin, >> I think you mean Pallas's Leaf Warbler (not the Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler), right? Yes, thanks >>On my wifes iPad (2nd gen) and her iPhone 5 it's not different. How odd. On my 2nd gen ipad the colours are aweful Thanks very much. I've posted this query several places without a...

    Collins bird guide app

Hi Can you please check Pallas's warbler on both iPhone & iPad? How do the colours compare? I've an iPhone 5 & a 2nd gen iPad. The iPad colours are pretty poor (grey/brown instead of green) The developers say it's because of different screen makers choosing different colour palettes! Cheers Jerry

    Siberian Chiffchaff? (NE Italy)

tris There are a couple of birds (well one of them) which look identical (ie incl olive on mantle) and have been OK'd by our county recorder (Chris Heard) I think the hues on the mantle are so dependent on the quality of the light it's not possible to be 100% on photos along Please forward me a...

Review by 'berksbod' on item 'SlingShot 300 AW'

From my experience this bag is just too big for the single strap design I "packed" mine with 30D, 400 5.6, + couple of smaller lenses The dody+ 400mm just about fitted in but the weight across one side of my neck caused me numbness in my shoulder and arm! The obvious solution was not to pack so...
