    Rail Rider pants

By the way, I am not affiliated with this company in any way, :). Just trying to respond to the question...

    Rail Rider pants

Hi Bill I got them at a local thrift shop here in California (in new condition with tags still on them!), but I note there is an online site for their clothing: http://www.railriders.com/ Looks like online would be the way to get more.

    Trip to Thailand

Perfect Will, thanks for the info. I will be there from May 29th through June 11th, starting in Bangkok for several days, then going to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat for a couple of days, then up to Chaing Mai for almost a week then back to Bangkok to fly out.

    Trip to Thailand

I am planning a trip to Thailand and wondering if anyone has suggestions for areas to go birding? I will be in Bangkok and Chaing Mai and will also have a side trip to Cambodia to visit Angkor Wat. Any suggestions would be appreciated - Thanks!

    Rail Rider pants

I picked up a pair of Rail Rider pants for my upcoming trip to Thailand and they are great! extra pockets for gear, a hidden pocket for passport and cash, comfortable quick dry material but substantial that they look like normal casual pants. :t:

    Leitz Wetzlar 7x42 Leicas

Saw an ad for used Trinovid Leitz Wetzlar binocs, listed as Leica brand. They are 7x42: anyone have any experience with this binoc? Good, average, bad? Thanks

    pigeons

Wondering why there are so many pigeons in residential areas in the Central Valley of California. They seem to thrive in suburban areas especially, even near semi-rural areas where one also sees many birds of prey. Wondering if they have the same "breed under pressure" traits as other animals...

    Howdy from Sacramento

Just joined, I'm in Sacramento California and am excited to be a member! Lots of great places to enjoy birds here as we are in a major flyway. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge and hopefully connecting to others on this site. Glad to be here!

    Premier lx better than lxl?

I have the older LX and the image is fantastic! I have it in 8x42 and it is a little heavy, but I agree it does help to stabilize the glass.

What's the difference between A Premiere LX Nikon 8x42 and a LX Nikon 8x42?

I have the older HG DCF LX or "Venturer" in 8x42 and the optics are fantastic. I undersand the newer LX L uses lead free glass and is a little lighter as a result.
