Photo-art of red colour morph kākā

I thought some of you might be interested in this photo-artistic piece featuring a kākā kura or red colour morph kākā. Incredibly rare and an amazing opportunity to photograph this wee dinosaur. Ngā mihi Judi

Black tern in a very unexpected place

They may be common in the Northern Hemisphere, but black terns are a rarity down south. This character was the first of his kind to be formally identified as present in New Zealand. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph him hanging out with a flock of tara (white-fronted tern).

    Tauhou watercolour

I'm mostly a photo-artist but I do love watercolour too, though I'm very much a beginner. I recently painted this study of a tauhou (Zosterops lateralis). Would love any hints and tips from those more experienced on how to paint feathers!! So much detail in them.
