    Wearing white and talking while birding?

    I seem to remember reading somewhere that washing detergents contain a compound that makes the clothes glow in the UV spectrum. If it's true, even clothes that wethink are black must be glowing like a light bulb to birds.

    Sorry, that was the best shot I could get of the wings; it was raining heavily and very dark, and the camera was a point and click. I didn't like the look of the bill for Caspian either, which is why I posted it here, in spite of the small head and dark eye.

    I can't get down till Friday morning. The forecasts show the wind swinging westerly over Thur night, and NW by midmorning. Pg, Pendeen or stay home? Advice would be appreciated. I don't know what happens at PG if the winds swing...does the passage continue for a while?
