    One of the very many bee flies, Bombyliidae that occur in Spain. Maybe something like Exoprosopa sp or closely related genus?

    A tricky genus! You may be right, but not sure how you would eliminate Southern Marbled Skipper as these butterflies can be quite variable?

    I was going to ask the same question as I had no idea there were any Garden Dormice in the UK. Have they made an error? I was surpriseda few years ago to discover we had a large colony of Glis glis within walking distance of home in the west London suburbs.

    Had my first (3) Meadow Browns & a male Large Skipper on my normal Sunday morning patch. Generally low numbers of everything. How different to a week in Albania last week with 42 species.

    Looks like a female Closterotomus trivialis. What part of the country are you? It was first discovered in London in 2009, but now common here. Not sure how far it's spread.
