Two-spotted Longhorn Bee (Melissodes bimaculatus: Apidae) 1.1-1.5 cm (0.43-0.59 in) long including both sexes. The males are smaller than the females. The pink flower is pink evening primrose (Oenothera speciosa: Onagraceae).

Post Oak Savannah vegetation area, open manicured park with scattered pecan and oak trees with two disjunct riparian woodlands plus Briar Creek at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.
