Stock Dove (Columba oenas)

I propose that the farmland where I work is the best place for photographing Stock Doves in the world. They feed on a dungheap with Woodpigeons and aren't always in a going mood, but when they are they can show very well. They're not tame of course, but can be incredibly oblivious of a car (used as a hide). I haven't done much with them this year due to the presence of breeding Lapwings but I spent a lot of time there in 2007.

Another good shot Clive. I see them all the time but never have managed to get close to them.
