Squacco Heron (Ardeola ralloides)

I made a special effort to see this one since it was probably the closest rarity to where I grew up that has ever occurred, at least during my birding life. A bit distant though, one for the digiscopers really. Nice spot though, there wasn't much in the way of reserves round that way when I was growing up.
