Eurasian Jay
This was the only shot I got before the bird flew. Somehow the camera focused successfully on the bird's eye and bill, bit of a fluke really. I wasn't even using single point AF.

Habitat
Mainly deciduous woodland and forest, and oak in particular. Also in mixed forest, orchards, town parks and large gardens, and coniferous forest in the north and east of the Region (Opus)

That really is a super picture lad.

I had a bit of luck the other day... saw a flutter at the new feeding station we've set up at the edge of town, knew it was something different and when I focused the camera on it.... it was a Jay. What a shock I had LOL. My first UK picture of one! As we arrived at the feeders my friend had said "I've given up hoping for a Jay here"!!!
